Arcvelt in April
Spring creeps into Arcvelt like a nervous guest, hesitating at the door of the season. Snowmelt flows through the gutters of tall New Ashen structures, bringing life, and wood rot, with it. The roads are muddy, the winds still sharp, but there's a sense that the worst of the frost has passed. Steam rises from chimneys and puddles alike. Little green buds cling to branches with hopeful stubbornness.
Yet, in the shadows of progress, unease stirs. Patrols at the Outlook speak of strange sights and unnerving silences lingering in Hullbeck Pike. Little Ivywood’s reconstruction is slow, dampened by cold rains and lingering trauma of regular profane attacks. Merchants in Langham’s Wreck whisper about shipments delayed not by weather, but by the unrelenting Mist's intrusion and silence from the deeper mines.
The nobility in New Ashen begin to emerge again, dressed in lighter coats but still hiding behind veils of caution for the cold.
Porte Del’arion, as ever, rages in isolation, its storm eternal, its warnings ignored by most of the sailors who manage to pass through and brave the storms.

Sanctuary in April
The deserts of Sanctuary stir under the sun’s growing weight. April is a month of transition with heat rising, the land cracking, and the first real warnings of the long dry season on the cusp to come.
Onuda begins its preparations for isolation from the regular merchants they see, while Akutcha watches the desert winds shift with veteran eyes trained on the ever shifting sands. Traders know better than to linger too long.
But it’s not just weather that shifts.
Along the coast of the beaches, Somati awakens. The city grows louder, as it always does in spring, deals are made in smoky halls, and jungle creatures creep closer to the outskirts as rainfall stirs their dens. Festival lanterns begin to be painted, even while Kilnsi drill along the trade roads.
Rumors blow through the Hermarite Savannah like dust: southern tribes moving in unusual patterns, something stirring beneath the dunes near Dobari Travelside, and quiet talk that Arcvelt’s interest in the deeper desert might not have gone entirely cold as previously thought.
For now, diplomacy holds. But the sun always rises in Sanctuary, and it always reveals what was hidden in the sand.

Out of Character Notes in April
Happy April, everyone!
This month marks real progress as we move toward a less mechanics-heavy experience in Lithoterria. We've taken the survey responses to heart, and I’m genuinely excited about the clarity they've brought to our renewed direction.
We're currently working on deconstructing mechanics that no longer serve a meaningful purpose, allowing more room for player interpretation rather than rigid systems.
Our ability creation sets will partially return to a more word-based, stylized format encouraging creative freedom within scenes. As always, we’ll keep some rolls for situations where unbiased resolution is needed, but beyond that, you'll be free to write as you please.
As we continue to refine the mechanics, we’re also preparing to open up more cities, enabling proper travel across the nations and expanding the world for everyone to explore. In the meantime, you are encouraged to write among your partners and keep an eye out for some quality of life edits you should start to see around the server. Quests and events will start back up after the mechanics portion of the world has been resettled. Thanks again for hanging around.
